the weak ones are now the strong ones. the strong ones are not strong on these conditions. detune your game or go home. i think it's time to go. why do you thin the usbc isn't handing out as many awards these days. they know what time it is.....
well, i was taught how to throw the hook and a couple of other things. i was fortunate. yet, at times it's a curse because you can't use it per-se' anywhere because even your weakest equipment reacts to these so called "patterns". what they are doing is handicapping the handicap bowlers and detuning the better bowlers. then when it's time for a tournament, you've been bowling this awful way for awhile, you have to reprogram yourself all over again. unless, you're bowling all over town. all day, everyday. i think i'm looking for new houses to bowl in next season. at least where there is some type of lane condition other than what we have at metro and around town.
again martin. not "my" shot, but a shot. i can't figure these bowling alleys out. my gold rhino, i consider my spare ball. gezz, the balls i normally bring to a tournament won't make it to the seven pin if i throw them. i try to bring my weakest of my equipment and now i'm down to my gold rhino? this season couldn't be over fast enough. i look forward to bowling in tournaments because at least i know there be some head oil and the backends won't be flying as much. the sport in my opinion has gone to the wayside....just throw the ball at the headpin........
dude, what a joke tonight @metro. 1 & 2 is always fun, but when i had to throw that gold rhino AGAIN? it's time for me to hang it up. that is THE weakest ball i have and if i don't play it right, it'll cross over from the 6th board. i can hardly wait till this season is over.
martin, i just try to keep it real. it's not like no one else sees this stuff. yet, the truth is a hard pill to swallow. one thing is to "hear" the truth. it's a whole another concept in "dealing" with the truth. then, there's the issue of actually "correcting" the problem.
ok, at least you were honest. yet, THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE THE PROBLEM Lies IN PART. how are you going to just hire someone to just load the machine with oil and run it down the lane? ok, martin. i want you to jump into my racecar, pour oil in it and run it for 500 laps?! what a joke. you have no formal training on what to do if the car starts to act up. i haven't explained to you what to even look for if it acts up. if there is a problem, you'd be lost because you haven't even gotten to know how the car handles. unfortunately, this looks like the same scenario. the machine is just getting tossed down the lane and no one has a clue on what to look for if there is a problem. dumb question, doesn't the lane machine have a manual? or at least a number to call "if" there is a problem? or does this fall in the catergory of "actually" caring about what you're doing? again, what do i know........
ironically, you stated something that came up in conversation later on in the evening. that possibly the machine is not oiling the lane currently. yet, if that is the case, doesn't the machine get inspected before use to avoid this kinds of mishaps? or is it possible we have a machine, like a computer or any other man made device that is only "doing" what it is "programmed" to do? therefore, is it the machine's fault or are we back to human error? yet, something inconsistent is unfortuantely happening.......
yesterday was a little funny. maybe it was just our side, or maybe i had been bowling earlier on some slick *ss stuff that it didn't really seem to affect me too much. for me, there was a shot, it WAS actually greased down MORE than usual. THAT'S what caught me off guard, that here was "actually some " oil on the lane. i started out throwing my usually 100 mph speed and was missing?! then i said, wait a minute, this thing has some oil on it. i had thrown some splits, which was my own fault. trying to through a ball that would have worked only if i had the right size grips in it. switched to another ball and struck out for 188?! shot 202 then 196? when i chopped the 3-6 off the 3-6-10, i knew the shot was "back to normal". thank goodness that set was over. ended with 586 scratch. on the pair to the left of me, some people struggled, but some were striking at will. it was crazy. martin, i don't ask for "my" shot. all i ask is "for a shot". i think that's all anyone could ask for. Yet sometimes, that seems hard to get these days. hell, what do i know.......
I have. Bowled twice this year. My crew and I should be there from the Bany' for them early squads. I'll try to hit you up. If you want to Alibi a squad or two, let me know...
