Today God smiled on me…and I won the Midtown 4-game Sweeper Singles Tournament

I bowled in the Midtown thing on Saturday, and God simply showed me favor… to finally win a tournament this year. I say He showed me favor because in one of my games I shot a 165; and in the other games of 256, 267, and 279 … I was just getting some GREAT breaks, and the pins were just falling. And I saw other bowlers smashing the pocket, but leaving 10, after 10, after 10. So…(LOL), God simply smiled on me today.

Now, don’t get me wrong – In my mind, I went to the center prepared to bowl great to WIN! I also made sure I got enough sleep the night before, and found time to eat to have a little energy. I had even dropped by my Church a day or so ago and “sowed a seed” for God’s many blessings on my life. And let me tell you – In the last game, I HAD TO shoot 279 after the 165 game… or it was possible I wouldn’t even cash to get a cent…
And trust me; the shots were not all that great.. but the pins fell anyway… :)

So, hey… Today God smiled on me.

Oh yeah… almost forgot… Thank you Midtown Bowl,
And also to the folks below that didn’t bowl in the sweeper…

Greg, Isom, Charles, Joe, Curtis, Chris, Mr. Butler, Quantrelle, Jhamall, Akil, Randy, Mark, Ken, Tesa, LaTonya, Paulette, Don, Jack, Tameka, TJ, Johnnie, and the other 20 or 30 great bowlers in the Atlanta area. Thank you :-)

And to the person reading this... if YOU didn’t bowl? Well, thank you too!

Take care,

Chase

Chase, you are really getting it done my man. That's very impressive. And no need to add me to the list of no-shows, for I definitely would not have stood in your way.
I applaud your heart and dedication to the game... You are good for the sport of bowling in the entire Atlanta area...

Chase, congrats on the win. as has been said, with scores like that, it wouldn't have matter who was there. The pins you had floated that 165 game and the rest you did on your own. Once again, congratulations....

Well there were some pretty good bowlers there, maybe not the "top 30" of atlanta but Mr. Ken Taylor and myself posted some pretty gaudy numbers averaging about 256 a piece. Just fell short to the handicap bonus. but again, great bowling and congrats chase.

Isom, thanks for the encouragement. I really appreciate that coming from you...
Unfortunately, the games went 256, 267, 165 (i tried to move in, got splits...and missed 2 *^#@*!! 10-pins...LOL), and then went back to the original shot for 279. The tournament was sanctioned too...sheeesh.

Funny thing though; I was fine, and then the guy running the tournament said, "Oh yeah, the shot is about to break down, and the scores will get low now"... and I listened to him, but I should have just kept doing what I was doing.

Anyway - thanks again man.

Tariq, did you mean to give that compliment to Chase?

Isom, our Creator has surely Shined His Light on you, our Sunday Mid-Town TEAM, ON THE MOVE, are praying that The Creator Will keep Shining His Light on our TEAM, so that we will close out the second half in first place!

Yea I agree with Theo, you bowled your ass off man. Don't take anything away from it. I do bowl big scores sometimes, but trust me, I have wayyyyy more days that I DON'T shoot big numbers like that than days when I do. So according to what you shot It wouldn't have mattered who was there, you probably would have beat them (us). Good shooting Chase!

By the way, was the sweeper sanctioned? If so, that 802 you shot for the last 3 games counts as a sanctioned series.
