Ok here's the deal. We have one more week left in league. About 7 weeks ago was sitting at 192 average. Made a a statement to a team mate that would be at 200 before season is over. Well with one more week to go sitting at 199 and need a 687 the last week to barely do it. The ol' brain has been disappearing on me all year. Need to start doing some sort of workouts and get in a shape other than pear. Healthy body , healthy mind sort of thing ya know. Till next time. Continue

I had a dream last night that was good and bad at the same time. It went like this. Walked into bowling center. Got into 8 brackets. Out the gate shoot the front 11 then leave a stone 8 pin, for 299. 2nd game have the front 11 then leave a high 9 pin for another 299. 3rd game shoot 300. So end up with 898. Now for the messed up part. Go to collect bracket maoney and don't win a dime. Seem Isom shoots 300 the 1st game and knocks me out of half my brackets. Before I start friday night made a promise to Wanda "why are you still single" Cotton that I would not blog about how bowling went friday. So instead will do this. If you are 2 or 122 years young you can bowl. If you have only 1 arm or no arms you can still bowl. A ramp can be used or you can kick the ball down the lanes. If you are in a wheelchair you can bowl. With a ramp or toss the ball with hands down the lanes. If you are blind you can bowl. Just have someone put you in the right position… Continue

Ok may have just figured out what I have been doing wrong tonight. Average has dipped to 190. Tonight start off with a 155 . 2nd game was 223 and 3rd was 159. Bowl like last weeks garbage but all is good as we won 3. Anyway when I got home started thinking. Ok not thinking cause that hurts my head. It dawned on me what was differant the 2nd game compared to the other 2. The 2nd game I was relaxed and rolled the ball. The other 2 games was throwing the ball. Friday night was a cool little battle for the pots in the 3rd game. The team to beat" from another blog post I made shot 1024 scratch. Was reflecting a little bit back to the days I was in the juniors. A few of the things that was taught and still holds true in the modern game. (jeesh am I really that old) "You can learn from anyone, it doesn't matter thier average". "Strikes win games, spares when champianships". One problem with the junior program back then was some of the coaching. They would tell you an adjustment to make but not tell why you were making said adjustment. The team to beat in the TNBA mixed league on Friday nights at Suburban showed out last night. The team is star studded with Latonya Walker, Greg Black Jr. , Isom Hawes , Tyrone Stevens, and Charles Jordan. Charles shot 300 out the gate. All eyes will be on this team. Don't get me wrong there are some really good teams in the league but this is the team we all have to beat for any shot at 1st. Also of note my team mate Vincent Long shot 276 the 2nd game. Went to attempt to bowl in the AEBC doubles tourney at Suburban. 1st game start off with the front 7, 8th frame 7-10 split (deserved) finished with 241. We move pairs and must have had the bus wheels fall off because shot 168. Move again 184 for 3rd game. That's right shoot 241 and didn't even break 600. Been doing that alot all summer long. You gotta love the small break inbetween the summer and fall seasons. That little week or 2 break. Many people do various differant things during this time period. Some just do anything but bowl. Others can be seen at a bowling center almost every day practiceing. A lot of the ones that are practicing had taken the summer off so are trying to get back into bowling shape. One more night left of the Monday Scratch Trio league at Suburban Lanes. Will be glad because this has been an odd and not very good season for me and my team as a hole. We are sitting close to the bottom of a 15 team league. As of last week only have averaged 193 . Seems this summer can only put together 2 games and since we bowl 3 games that just will not cut it. :) . To give an example I did this one week 168,243,248.
