Bill Marks 846 this Week With My Ebonite Magic

This week I was on fire, I am almost afraid to post my score as I don’t think anyone will believe me. Last week I was ashamed to post them now I afraid. Well here it goes after the struggle last week I had my all time high score in league with an 846 series, my games were 278+289+279=846. This was my 4th 800 series in league. I even had an open in the 1st frame of the first game, I missed the 10 pin. I left 3, 10 pins and a 4 pin the rest were strikes. I used my… Continue

Chase "In Sync with The Universe" (The 3/4 Roll Commitment)

Ok.. it's official ....I'm starting over...as far "proper release" and ball roll After speaking with Dannial Cohen, whom advised me that I will have to decide “one way or the other” as far as being either a full-roller or ¾ roller…and not mix it up, I have made the commitment to go ¾ roll…and not go back. I went and practiced Monday, and actually was able to average about 200 for 4 games… including the last game being a “clean” 244…and it was kinda exciting. There was only 1 shot in 4 games th… Continue

Bill Marks Tough Week In Bowling

Well this week I bowled on Friday morning and Friday night as a sub. I really struggled for what I have been bowling I am in a slump plus the shots tougher. I had a 615 Friday morning with 4 opens 2 of which were 7, 10 splits in the pocket. Then I only had a 566 in the evening I was pretty much lost in this house, I just don‘t match up well at this center. It is a scratch league and other team members tell me they are 20 pins down in this league from last year and from there other nights. Well I… Continue

Bill Marks 692 This Week

Well this week I only bowled on Friday morning. I did pretty well having a 692 with two open frames, both were 8, 10 pocket splits. My games were 222+214+256 to the 692 series. I used my ebonite magic on the left lane and my Brunswick siege on the right. The magic had 2000 abralon and my siege had 1000 abralon pad surface. I am a firm believer in these pads and feel they are a key to pin carry and a constant bowling bal… Continue

Bill Marks My Weeks Bowling Scores

Well I have been busy and having trouble keeping up with posting my bowling scores. I have 3 outings to post. First I got called to sub last Friday night I had a 646 with 3 open frames, I must note this is a 5 on a team scratch league. In addition, the pattern changes every week and is tough at times. I used my ebonite magic which gave me the best reaction the last game and had a 236 game. My scores were 215+195+236… Continue

Bill Marks My Week In Bowling

Well I have been bowling more lately last Sunday I bowled in a scratch sweeper and averaged 235.2 for the 5 gamer. The field was very tough so it took a 238 average to cash. I had 4 open frames that day 2 spits and 2 10 pins. Today I bowled in my normal Friday league and had a 723 series with 3 open frames. I used my ebonite magic on the left lane and the Brunswick twisted fury solid on the right. I used 2000 abralo… Continue

Bill Marks Brunswick Siege Review

The lane surface was Brunswick pro-anvilane synthetic and wood with guardian. The lane conditions were typical house patterns, I must note both centers play close to the same. Bowler style is a tweener or track area bowler with 250 rev rate and 16 mph ball speed. Test Results:Read More Brunswick Siege Review Continue

Bill Marks Much Better This Week

Well after having a bad week last week I did better with a 704 series today. I had games of 245+221+238 for the 704 series. I used my ebonite magic on the left lane and my Brunswick twisted fury solid on the right. I only had 2 open frames today, both were brain dead shots. Well I had a better mental outlook today. I used 2000 abralon on my… Continue

Bill Marks Struggled This Week

Well after having a great week last week I struggled with a 558 series today, this was one of my worst outings in over a year. I had a 156 my second game and 7 open frames over all. I realize I was not rolling the ball well and trying to look positively at it. You have to take he good with the bad and old friend once told me. I have only had 1 game under 200 in the last 6, but it killed me. The hole league was down though and a few average in the 215 range. Well PMA a new start, and I hole am mo… Continue

Chase Sometimes when you lose, you really win - Realbowlers Match Play

Remember that great quote that Gloria told Billy in the movie White Men Can’t Jump??; “…Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs.” Well…(LOL), hey… I actually experienced that this weekend while bowling at the McNair Brothers - Realbowle… Continue

Bill Marks First Week Of Fall Bowling

Well I am back to fall bowling after the summer I was only able to bowl the 5 weeks of the 8 week summer bowling. Then I went on vacation. I averaged 205 in the summer pba league for those 5 weeks and did get to bowl on all the 5 patterns once. Then I did practice, but I did slow way down over the summer. Now our league started today and I started with a bang having a 762 series today and had 2 open frames. I missed a 10 pin in the 1st game and a 7 pin in the 2nd game. I had games of 247+236+279… Continue

Bill Marks My Summer Bowling Recap

Well my summer league bowling has been done for some time now. I bowled in the summer pba league and was only able to bowl 5 of the weeks, but I did get a chance to bowl on all the patterns. Then I went on vaction and could not finish the league. It was in a wood bowling center so there was a lot more friction on the lanes. I had my best score on the viper. I liked the viper pattern the best. I used my ebonite magicContinue

Chase WC Cleveland thoughts

After 3 games - in the desert of Snellville My fingers - began to turn red After 6 games - in the desert of Snellville I was wishing I was back home in bed…. Three-hundred, sixty-six days ago – I made a decision to try bowling in my very 1st scratch bowling tournament; The WC Cleveland Memorial - Men’s Scratch Singles Tournament. It was quite an experience, as I saw many of the best amateur bowlers come in from around the USA to compete, and it was great experience for myself to see wha… Continue

teddy lindsey Sunday Fall League?????

I had the pleasure of bowling with Mr. Chase @ PinStrike. He allowed me to win one game( just to get me hooked) before he showed my that I needed to stay in my place and learn how to bowl against better bowlers. And I would like to thank him for the whooping that he give me. My question where can I go this fall to join a league that is competitive and fun on Sundays? In the past I was part of a fun league on Sundays. With maybe three 205 avg bowlers My goal is to become better at this sport, but… Continue

Bill Marks Storm Virtual Gravity of the Shark

5th Week of Summer Sport Doubles League - Storm Virtual Gravity of the Shark This week in our Summer Sport Doubles League which is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and we bowl 4 games. Well last night was our 5th week we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA Shark pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 192+215+193+205 for an 805 series. This shot was a little tougher than the others, but I had to make sure that I kept the ball insider an… Continue
