The Storm Hy-Road is in the mid-price range and in Storms Thunder series of bowling balls. The Hy-Road is a polished hybrid bowling ball and its ball motion is angular. I would recommend this ball as a goto ball on medium heavy house patterns or a bowling ball used after you have some area. This category of balls have the most range of usefulness because they ether can be used as a arcing ball or a flipping ball so that gives you more options for bowling ball drilling layout depending on what your intended purpose is for the ball. Me on house patterns I would drill it stacked under my ring finger or pin under the ring finger and the cg angled toward my thumb hole. If you want to use it as a flipping ball with more end over end roll I would put the pin above my bridge and angle the cg to the 1.5 inch mark outside my thumb hole. This bowling ball can have the surface altered to adjust the length and hook roll spot of the ball on the bowling lane. In addition, hybrid coverstocks are a combination of a solid and pearlized and I have found the these hybrids are more arcing and angular but not snappy. |
