Bowling 200 Community - Forums and Videos for bowlers

After 4 weeks of bowling on the PBA oil patterns, I really have a new appreciation and respect for professional bowlers. It is so humbling to bowl on this stuff. Honestly, to me – this is how all bowling should be…challenging your “real” accuracy, adjusting, and consistency.

I now REALLY understand why pro bowlers throw straight at spares….lol. Also, 5 means “5”…not 7, not 8….but FIVE…lmao.

Anyway, I actually bowled my first 200+ game tonight, so I guess if I keep it up…I may end up with a 180+ average by the end of the season. And if nothing else...I WILL throw the ball straight at all spares...except "double wood". Funny thing is, Greg Black Jr is one of the very best spare shooters around...and he told me, "I shoot at ALL spares straight...except for double wood." Greg, now I'm beginning to understand why.

I don't know why...but I went to go out and practice of the Viper this past Wednesday with 3 others...and in 7 games... I averaged 215+. And for the last 4 games I shot 932 scratch. I won every single game that the 3 of us bowled.

Now - when Monday gets here for the PBA league night...what in the world happens????

...crazy :(

well, outside of "choking" in my 3rd game this Monday, I shot ok. I finally broke 800...lol. I ended up with 807...and that was with a 157 game in my 3rd game.

Oh well... we'll see what happens next week.

Oh yea...It was great that we both tied in the 1st game pot. Anyone else, and I would have been mad...LOL
