What can "We" do???????

For a while now I've been thinking of how Our "New" elected President Obama has inspired me and what can I do to help make a change. I beleive it starts with 1 person helping another and it starts in the community and branches out. When you give of yourself and your time it makes you feel better. I've thought of working with the youth as well as adults when it comes to bowling. I've also did some youth counseling and involment. They might not realize it yet but they are "Our" future. My question to you is what can "We" do to help bring about a possitive change in our lives and communities that can broaden into a change in the world???? It doesn't have to be about bowling but we have to start now! I'm ready to embarch on a new future. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Akil you are absolutely right! It all starts by each of us doing what we can to make our own environment better.

I have started to think a little differently about many things...to do more to help others...especially kids.
My GM decided to start a Non-profit too...and we have already started to take in donations to reward people who bring in guns... to get guns off of the streets, and also collect money to help abused women, kids...and even collect money to buy books and support music programs in the community.

Great topic Akil. working with the youth is something that is special to me. I have said that I wanted to start a foundation for youths that aren't given that chance at the little things in life. Like sponsor youths who don't have the money to play sports at the rec level. I look back when I was young and always wanted to be involved, but never had the money. we are losing our youths, that are active in sports. After i have 2 or 3 of my own children I definitely see adopting 2 or 3 more. I just want to share with as many people as possible. The world will be a better place with Barack in power. Look at the reaction from all the other countries.

Great minds think alike!! President Obama inspired me also. As you know I have a bowling website and I decided in December that I wanted to do something to make a change. I have an email list of 700+ bowlers so I reached out to them and asked them to send me job postings. All of us know someone that is losing their job or have lost their job so to help others I decided to add a job posting link to the qb website and it is really working out. Networking is a powerful souce.
