Bowling 200 Community - Forums and Videos for bowlers

Hi, any hints why pin 10 hardly falls. (the pin on the right, while I bowl righthanded - I play to the right and it comes in back to the middle into pin 1)

Couldn't see the video. There are many reasons why the 10 pin stays. entry angle (How the ball hits on the side of the 1 pin) and the ball has lost energy by the time it hits the pins, to name a few. What kind of ball do you throw?(house ball or performance ball) Im trying not to get into anything too technical, since it sounds like you are just starting.

hi Martin,

a performance ball.

Well, it's an 180 average actually. Just when a pins is left there, it's most often the 10. what itself is not that easy to to clear.

(you would need divx to view the video. http://www.divx.com/ (the free version - and just the codec is needed).

well, I think the problem was the ball was too far away from
the center. So the pin Nr. 3 got hit tot straight, what
itself hit the pin 6 too much on the inside, and pin 6
finally missed the pin 10 on the right.

The solution was/is obviously to get the ball a tiny bit
more towards the center in order to hit the pin 3 more
sidewards :)
