First I drove to Augusta friday night to sub for a team. Arrived at the alley at 2am and slept in the car until we bowled at 8. Got up at 7 to check in and I'm told its been a mix up with the tournament director and times, so I can't bowl. Wasted trip number 1.
Today woke up with 3 hours of sleep and headed up to austell for the brunswick tour tournament. Sped up there so I wouldn't be late. Got there and the guy is telling me I have to bowl scratch because I don't have an 07-08 year book avg. And I couldn't use my 105 game 08-09 past year avg. So wasted trip number 2.
I know everything happens for a reason but I JUST WANT TO BOWL!!!! Lol
Lol.Wayne I'm a windows down kind of guy and need some frion. Will do. Practiced today and let's just say I only missed 4 spares in 5 games with 2 splits and a chop. I finally came to the conclusion everything happens for a reason and it just wasn't meant for me to bowl this weekend.
Man some tournaments have the craziest of rules. That's probably why the scores were so high. If I bowled last year and had 150 and this yr I'm at 190 it would matter in that tournament because they were going to use the 2007-2008 regarless!!! There were 3 800+ and 798 and 793... Top 5... lol
Martin - I think you got the short end of the stick with the tournament director because I took a new first time bowler to the same tournament but at a different location and they allowed him to use his 2008-2009 winter league average. I hope you have a great week!!
