Ok – Now, I don’t know about you, but I do know for myself – there are many, MANY times that I am bowling– but not really getting the score(s) that “reflect” how well (or sometimes how terrible) I am actually bowling.
I remember recently bowling in league, and I shot a 180 game…. and I was rolling the ball well, making my spares, but just not getting a great score. But, in that same 3-game set, I shot a 230+ game, and a 220+ game… and I was throwing the ball all over the place (lol)…but – the pins were still falling…and the scores for those last 2 games were good.
Also – I guess many of you have lost in tournaments and in league or pot games where there was someone beating you with “Brooklyn strikes” and getting away with very lucky pin-fall…to win.
Anyway – I guess I am posting this all to say, “there is a big difference between bowling great, and scoring high” But, as my “Pop” says (when striking), “Hey, don’t worry about what it looked like…(lol) … you just look at the scoreboard boy!”
