Firecracker Bowling Tournament (2008) whoa!!!

Today I really learned a great lesson about timing and how God works miracles.
I wanted to enter the firecracker bowling tournament in Atlanta, but wasn't sure if it could work out to cash in the tournament. Last week, Isom Hawes had shot 804 and was in first place along with James Lockett with a 1549... which normally would be pretty hard to beat…even with Handicap.

Well, I decided I would invest in a new ball; The Ebonite NV Complete ( www.strikingresultsatl.com ), and team with Dannial Cohen who is one of the very best scratch bowlers in Atlanta (PBA member)...and plus I get a lot of handicap points because last year I only had a 160 average.

Anyway, turns out that the tournament would NOT allow Dannial to bowl because of the PBA thing. Well, I bowled anyway... with another handicap bowler. We did "ok"... but what was amazing, I also did an "alibi" with a bowler named Wanda Cotton. Check it; Wanda has a low book average and ended up shooting 866 with her handicap....LOL, and I did "ok" and ended up with 767 with my cap.... for a Doubles Team score total of 1633. whoa!!!!! :)

Anyway, another guy shot 781 scratch with her, so they are in 1st place right now ($6,000) ... and I am in 2nd place (don't know the pay-out yet)... and I dont really believe that anyone will beat those scores.


Crazy thing is... I wasn’t going to bowl, but prayed about it and asked God, ...flipped a coin... and He said yes "go bowl" and bowl at 4pm (lol) ...serious. Also, at the last minute... Wanda came up to me and asked about the "alibi"

boy-oh-boy... I hope I get another miracle for this year. I will NOT be getting much handicap this time...LOL
