Bowling 200 Community - Forums and Videos for bowlers

First off let me start by saying thank you to Carla and Thelma for a great tournament. The shot that was put down was very fair and I, as well as alot of others I talked to think league should be ran on conditions like these. If league was shot on these conditions and you averaged over 200 you would really be a 200 bowler not just inflated.

To me the shot was easy but hard. lol. Of course any bowler worth their salt should be able to find there line, but the question was could you be accurate and consistant and hit your mark each time. if you missed by 2 or 3 boards it was gone. First game I missed every spare, trying to get my speed right.

I really enjoyed this tournament and like Chase said it gives me something to work on.

Yes, the shot was fair...and yes, you better hit your mark..or...LOL

Anyway, some of you may want to re-check your "alibis" with other partners for the payoff scores. I have run into a situation that is a little strange; I bowled the last Sunday squad of the tournament, and did an alibi with Kawana...and we shot 1332 together, but I did not see the score listed for the standings. So, I have already called Carla and Thelma about this possible oversight.

Here are the final standings from their website:

Update - just as I suspected (as I mentioned earlier), the score i shot with Kawana was just an oversight...and both Carla and Thelma contacted me to get the 1332 score with Kawana posted. Thanks!!!! :)

Hands down this tournament had a great shot to play on. If you were used to shooting on the Great Wall of China(me) you probably did not score well. My accuracy was horrid on the squad that I bowled on.(614) I practiced on about 5 different patterns after that to get my accuracy back. Thanks to Carla and Thelma for running a great tournament with an even greater lane condition.

I think its about time that a sport shot league is run for the winter leagues. Most people I talk to are tired of the house shot. In all reality what has happened is that the ball has evolved and the shot has not for league purposes and how many tournaments have you seen these shots? Bring the lane pattern up to date with the ball and lets get back to having if you have over a 200 avg you are truely a good bowler.

Good luck with that one. I will stick to practicing on tougher patterns for $3 a game. Waiting for a competitive sport shot league in this city will be like watching paint dry.lol

Lol. Where do you practice tough shots for $3?
