Bowling 200 Community - Forums and Videos for bowlers

Are you a bowl-a-holic? I'am, and proud of it. I've been bowling since the age of 7 and still can't get enough. I joined the Air-Force in 92 and had about a 12 year break from bowling. No leagues, tournaments, etc. I would still practice about twice a month, maybe. But you never forget how to do this. I love it and I'm pretty damn good at it! Maybe not as good as Greg Black, but I took 12yrs off from the game.(no offense intended Greg)So if your a bowl-a-holic too, let me know. You all get at me!!!

I am definately a bowl-a-holic. I love to bowl, but mostly I love to compete. I have been bowling for about 8 years, competitively for about 3. I dont bowl on that many leagues because where I am from here in Albany, Ga there isnt much to compete with. I travel out of town to tournaments as much as possible. Have bowled in a tournament in Atlanta Ga on Saturday and drove to Orlando to compete the following Sunday. Have bowled in Columbus ga on Saturday and then driven to Raleigh North Carolina overnight to compete on Sunday. If I was good enough to make a living out of bowling then I definately would quit my job and just bowl full time. Havent gotten there yet thought.

Hi. My name is Silky Smooth...and I am a bowl-a-holic. It's been three days since my last flawless release, and it is constantly on my mind. I eat, sleep and sweat bowling. Plan to give up my day job in five years and join the PBA tour. Stop that laughing....I am gonna do this.

I am a bowl-a-holic!!! Love bowling! After my Wed night league is over around 9:30, I go home and try to prepare myself for my get up the next am @ 4:00. I find myself visualizing, going over and over in my head how I bowled the evening before. I remember every shot, every release and every time those 10 pins scatter and get out of my way!!! I took a break off from bowling due to health for 10 years, but now I am back! Last year was my first fall/winter league, so I feel I am new in getting to know people here in Atl because I moved from DC area. But my skills are still there, now just getting my average back up, carrying a 167 from a 152 from the winter. So, I'm imiproving and working hard @ it. Just looking for consistency in my release, so any coachs out there Holla @ a sista looking for some help!!!

I know for myself… bowling is kinda addictive. I find myself thinking about bowling when I need to be thinking about work. I will sometimes find ANY excuse to go to the lanes.

…sad, but true…LOL

On the other hand, I guess there are definitely a few other things that could be much wose than being a BOWL-A-HOLIC! :)
