My Friend? My Ebonite NV Complete. (…sorry if I made anyone nervous)
Ok – here’s the deal. I bought the NV Complete, and it has been great. I really like the ball a lot. And - when the ball seemed to stop getting the back-end reaction I was use to – I had the ball cleaned and the oil removed, etc… and actually shot a 300 almost immediately after. And the next night, I shot a very good looking 279 too. Well
lately, the ball has died “again”…and even after having the oil removal treatment… It’s just NOT getting the back-end like I am use to seeing.
A pro shop operator watched me bowl last night… and he said, “yeah, your ball isn’t reacting like it was when you first got it” And I told him, yeah it’s been this way for over a week now… and I am getting frustrated. Then,
James Lockett – who I consider one of the best bowlers in the city came up to me and said, “Chase, I had that ball too…and it rolled great,
but only for about 30 games.. and then I had to retire it because it
would not react anymore!”
I really love ebonite equipment, but this is something that seems to be an issue...and a little widespread...and maybe they should address this...unless this is how they keep my buying more (?). And I am almost to a point to actually just having the funeral for this ball...and just buying a new one...LOL
Anyway...so – have any of you experienced this with your balls..Ebonite or ANY ball?
